It was a slow night in the MOL League Sunday night as only one game was played, MAC traveled across town to take on Újpest

UTE-MAC 4-2

Aside from Teemu Elomo and Péter Gágyor Újpest had a full roster, MAC had István Terbócs and Ian McDonald back in the lineup. The starting goalies were Bence Bálizs for the visitors and József Pleszkán for the home team. The first twenty minutes were fast paced as both teams had scoring chances, both on even strength and shorthanded but the goalies were pitching a shutout. With Újpest on the power play Tamás Virág hit the post but Benjámin Nemes put the puck home to give UTE the lead early in the second period. On the first shift MAC tied it up on a strange goal was scored from behind the net. The puck bounced off of an UTE defender and Jeff Hayes credited with the goal to add to his league lead. Tomas Klempa received a ten minute misconduct penalty on the play as well. Right at the midway point of the game Arnold Silló did some great work in the corner to get the puck to McDonald who put the puck in the slot and Hayes did the rest as he scored his second of the night. The fast paced back and forth hockey continued through the second period and into the third, both goalies kept up their outstanding performance but UTE was not able to get any closer. Krisztián Nagy scored an empty netter to set the final score.

MAC Head Coach Gergely Majoross: I didn't like a lot of things and we did  play the style that i would like to see by the time players come around. of course it's still early in the season. We did not dominate, it was more back and forth which I don't really like, but Bálizs Bence played great and it was a one goal game. We had better quality chances compared to the other  team, but we are a strong enough team to overcome this.
