Róbert Mikéska was serving his third game in a suspension from last season in the Romanian league and was not in the lineup for HSC. HSC head coach István Geréb decided to switch goalies as Ottó Ónodi replaced Ruczuj, the decision worked as Brasov could only score on the two man advantage in the second period on a goal by Mihály. In the final twenty minutes the two teams exchanged goals, Levente Zsók scored for the home team and Tamás Bíró for the visiting Csíkszereda to set the final score at 5-2.

Brasov Head Coach Ottó Keresztes: This is our first win in the MOL League and we are very happy for these 3 points. There is a rivalry between these two teams and we always have to find the adequate means to play right. Today  we managed to work hard and take advantage of all the given opportunities and win the game.

DHK-DAB 3-2

The home team Debrecen is the only team who has yet to lose a game in the young season, DHK has some good news as Ákos Berta and Artyom Vaszjunyin are back from suspension but Balázs Ladányi and Róbert Izsák are still out, and Yevgeni Kunayev picked up an illness. New to the Debrecen lineup was Garrett Milan who was just signed. On the other side Dunaújváros will be without Dávid Duschek, as the team hopes to pull off another upset. Ádám Vay was in net for the home team and Breton Lindoff for Dunaújváros. Looks like DHK knew what they were doing as their newest acquisition Milan scored halfway through the first period for his new team. Debrecen doubled their lead when Vladislav Troshin set up Bronson Kovács for the power play goal. In the closing minutes of the second period DAB took advantage of Debrecen’s sloppy play as Imre Peterdi scored two 5 on 3 goals in under a minute. The teams headed into the final period tied 2-2, in the end a power play goal was the deciding goal off of the stick of Berta for the 3-2 home win and Debrecen stayed undefeated.

AV19-FTC 3-0

Ferencváros have surprised some with their great start this season, traveled to Fehérvár in hopes of staying with the front runners, both teams are dealing with injuries. Ferencváros was without Jenson and Erdélyi still, for Volán Richárd Reiter and Dániel Szabó have yet to play this season. Olivér Ágoston was in net for for the visitors with Alex Scola in between the pipes for Fehérvár. Alex Scola went the distance with pitching the first shutout of the season in the MOL League.

Fehérvár AV19 head coach Tyler Dietrich: It was a good game, I think the guys were pretty starved for a win and came out determined to get it tonight. Really great contributions from the full lineup tonight, which is what we've needed. Dániel Mazzag set the tone with some great penalty kill work and drew a penalty shot. We got a lot of momentum from the solid penalty kill and then capitalized with a big goal from Krisztián Szabó on the power play.
