Debrecen was playing its first leg of their Romanian road trip, Ádám Vay was the starter for the visitors and Zoltán Tőke was in net for Brasov. Five minutes into the game Péter Vincze had Debrecen up 1-0. Two minutes into the second period Debrecen was already leading 3-0 as Danil Kaskov scored a power play goal which was shortly followed by an Ákos Berta goal. Later in the period Norbert Dancsfalvi put the team up 4-0 and Vay continued to pitch a shutout. In the third period Artyom Vaszjunyin took a pass from Dancsfalvi and put it past Tőke to make it 5-0. Brasov did end Vay’s shutout when the Bíró brothers connected for a goal, Mátyás scoring with Ottó and Gergő getting the assist.
Debrecen coach Evgeni Muhin: Both teams played equally well tonight, but our goalie had an excellent game and made the difference. We got also a bit lucky and managed to take advantage of every opportunity.
SC-DAB 2-1 OT
In a real playoff battle like game Csíkszereda had a full lineup with Marek Pekas in net, the visitors countered with Dávid Duschek. Both goalies played great past the midway point and deep into the second period when Phil Bushbacher picked up a loose puck and scored an unassisted shorthanded goal. Csíkszereda tied the game up in the third period on a goal by Nikita Mironov, the game tied tied for the rest of regulation. In the third minute of OT Kirils Tambijevs scored the game winner to keep two out of the three point at home.
FTC-MA 5-0
MAC had a couple of guys missing because of the U20 world championships, FTC did not have Attila Rafaj and Oliver Ágoston available. Bence Bálizs was in net for the home team and Krisztián Budai for the visitors. The game started off as a close match as neither team managed to put the puck past the opposing goalie. Dezső Roczanov gave the visitors the lead in the second period when he took shot from the blueline and made it through the traffic. Minutes later MAC doubled their lead on a similar goal, this time Patrik Nagy scored the goal, his first one of the season. In the closing minutes of the period, in a span of 24 seconds MAC scored twice to put the game away. first Tamás Pozsgai took a shot from the right circle that Budai saved but couldn’t control the rebound and Krisztián Nagy was on the spot to bang it home, Niko Saarenpaa made it 4-0 off of a pass by Róbert Egyed. Ferencváros switched goalies for the third period with László Soós coming in for Budai. After some frantic scrambling in front of the net by the defenseman the puck ended up on teh stick of Tomas Klempa who hit it home in the 48th minute.
