The MOL League board members had their first meeting of the 2016-17 in preparation for the upcoming season.
The theoretical idea of league expansion was discussed, the league is not totally against the idea. The requirements that the new club would have to meet is still being discussed and the league is in ongoing dialogue with potential teams. The Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation and their Romanian counterparts are in talks as well with the more serious topics to be discussed on May 20th at the IIHF forum.
To be able to plan ahead for the upcoming season the MOL League has decided that all bids and applications for the upcoming season must be handed in by June 1st midnight.
The éast topic on the agenda was for the Hungarian clubs in the league, they were to vote on representatives for the upcoming who could be on the HIHF board.
