Debrecen was playing for fourth place, all they needed was one point, Ádám Vay was starting in net, Kasper Emanuelsson and Bronson Kovács were sitting out a suspension. Rob Izsák, Martin Saluga and Zoltán Csíki were scratched. For MAC Bence Bálizs was in net and Dezső Roczanov was sitting out a suspension. The at the end of a fast first period Bence Stipsicz pitch forked the puck from the right wing high past an unsuspecting Vay. Debrecen tied the game up in the third period when Péter Vincze redirected a puck from right outside of the crease. Later in the period Debrecen took the lead on a nice close range goal by Artyom Vaszjunyin, however less than a minute later Ian McDonald sniped one to tie it up at 2-2. The score would stay tied up for the rest of regulation, in overtime no goals were scored which lead to a shootout. In The shootout MAC missed both their scoring chances with Debrecen converting theirs and they picked up the two points.
DVTK-AV19 4-3 OT
Dávid Gyenes got the start in net, missing from the lineup because of a suspension was Jesse Dudás and Jarkko Leppanen because of an injury. Fehérvár had Janis Kalnins starting, missing was Gergely Korbuly and Ádám Z. Hegyi. Volán took the early lead in the game on a goal by Tihamér Becze, in the last minute of the period Adrián Tóth tied the game up at one off of a pass by Roland Hajós. Diósgyőr took their first lead of the game on a power play goal by Keegan Dansereau, in the the final minute of the period DVTK scored Kalvin Sagert put one past Kalnins. Preston Shupe scored in the opening minutes of the period on a power play goal to make it a one goal game and Mitch Holmberg scored to tie it up for Fehérvár. In the first minute of overtime Jon Booras scored to keep two points at home.
