UTE-DAB 6-5
With six teams bunched up close to each other this was a very important game for both teams. Újpest was playing without Arnold Feil and Ales Sila was the goalie in net, on the other side Dávid Duschek was the starter in the net. At first it looked like the game would be a low scoring affair as Jozef Mihálik scored the only goal of the first period off of a pass from Peter Huba on the power play. The scoring picked up in the second as a total of five goals were scored, UTE went up 3-0 after Tamás Virág scored a power play goal and Mihálik scored his second of the game. Later in the period Dunaújváros came back within one when they scored two power play goals, first by Brad Smith which was followed up by one from Phil Bushbacher. Seconds after the Bushbacher goal Teemu Elomo put UTE back up by two goals. The goals continued to fly in the final period as DAB scored the next two off the sticks of Garrett Milan and Bushbacher to tie the game up at 4-4. However UTE scored two quick goals of their own when Eric Pance found the back of the cage and Tamás Gröschl set up Martin Turbucz for a goal to make it 6-4. With about ten minutes left in the game the veteran Imre Peterdi made it a one goal game but that was all that DAB had in them.
