Both teams would like to win this game, Debrecen has been rotating their imports Timur Rasulov made his Debrecen debut in this game and Ádám Vay is starting in net and Kasper Emanuelsson is suspended. Ferencváros was playing without Tomas Valecko, Jereme Tendler, Bence Zalavári and Linus Schellin with Krisztián Budai in net. At about the ten minute mark of the game Juha Hietamaki took a pass from around the boards and whipped a puck on net from the outside of the right faceoff circle that went past Vay’s ear, glove side. In the early part of the second period Danil Kaskov put a rebound in from close range to tie the game up. Right at the midway point of the game Bronson Kovács kneed Attila Rafaj in an unfortunate hit, the Debrecen player was tossed from the game. In the closing minutes of the period Kaskov scored his second of the game to give the home team the lead. In the third period Alexander Medvedev shot one form the blue line that made it through traffic for the power play goal. With just under four minutes left in the game Ferencváros pulled their goalie for the extra skater but Martin Saluga scored an empty net goal.
