The home team Debrecen was playing with out a number of players because of injuries, Ádám Vay, Kasper Emanuelsson and Martin Saluga, Savva Borodin was starting in net. Brasov was on the tail end of a road trip gave László Tőke the start in net. The game remained scoreless through the first twenty minutes and into the second period. Ákos Berta scored a powerplay goal, minutes later Berta set up Norbert Dancsfalvi to double the Debrecen lead. In the third period with Debrecen on the man advantage Vladislav Troshin took a pass from Danil Kaskov and put it past Tőke for the three goal lead. Borodin ended up going the distance for the 3-0 shutout win.
DAB-UTE 3-1
Recently signed Garrett Milan was in the lineup, Gergely Borbás was back from injury and Dávid Duschek was in net for the home team. For Újpest Ales Sila was in net and Róbert Dömötör was not in the lineup. Phil Bushbacher put gave the Dunaújváros the early lead in the game but less than a minute later Tamás Gröschl scored against his former team to make it 1-1. In the closing minutes Milan setup Tamás Lencsés for the goal the DAB lead as the teams went in for the first intermission. DAB took a two goal lead at the midway point of the game as Bálint Szepessy scored, his brother Máté and Mátyás Odnoga were credited with the assist. Duschek held the two goal lead for the rest of the game despite UTE pulled Sila for the extra attacker but they were not able to score.
