
The Disciplinary Commission no. 2015-16/019 decree
The Disciplinary Committee investigated the case in the 25th minute in the MOL League 116 (BRA-DVTK) match, where Jesse DUDAS collided with a BRA player, the referees gave a 25 minute Match Penalty (MATCH).
The Committee decided the following:
The DVTK player irregularly collided, using hand and stick during the collision, he hit the the opponent's head, face area.
RULE 124–CHECKING TO THE HEAD OR NECK
DEFINITION: A player who directs a hit of any sort, with any part of his body or equipment, to the head or neck of an opposing player or drives or forces the head of an opposing player into the protective glass or boards. This rule supersedes all similar actions regarding hits to the head and neck except those related to fighting. A player who injures or recklessly endangers an opponent as a result of checking to the head or neck will be assessed a match penalty.
Disciplinary Committee determines that Jesse DUDAS’ purpose was not to get the puck. The player raised his hand and stick, hit the opponent’s head. The Brasov player was injured on his face, after a short medical attention he continued the game.
The Disciplinary Committee taken in mind, according to IIHF rules and guidelines, the attack of the head and neck area is one of the most serious irregularities.
The Disciplinary Committee suspends the DVTK player No.52 Jesse DUDAS for the next 4 MOL League matches.
The player will be prohibited from the following 4 Mol League matches.
