
The Disciplinary Commission no.2015-16/022 decree
The Disciplinary Committee investigated two cases during the MOL League match MOL 117 DHK-FTC. In one case the referees gave a 5-minute and Game Misconduct (CHE-HandGA-MI), and in the other case one player received a Match Penalty (MATCH). The Disciplinary Committee made the following conclusion about these cases:
EVENT 1
Zalán FLISZÁR FTC No.23 player at the 29th minute collided irregularly with the opponent's head and face area.
RULE 124–CHECKING TO THE HEAD OR NECK
DEFINITION: A player who directs a hit of any sort, with any part of his body or equipment, to the head or neck of an opposing player or drives or forces the head of an opposing player in to the protective glass or boards. This rule supersedes all similar actions regarding hits to the head and neck except those related to fighting. A player who directs a check to the head or neck of an opponent will be assessed one of: (1) a minor penalty and misconduct penalty; (2) a major penalty and automatic game-misconduct penalty; (3) a match penalty.
According to the report of the referees and the statement of the Disciplinary Committee, both player’s purpose as to acquire the puck. The offending player hit the opponent in the head during the impact. The DHK player suffered a minor injury and was unable to continue the game.
The Disciplinary Committee suspends Zalán FLISZÁR, FTC player for 2 MOL League matches.
Event2
Vladislav TROSHIN, No.89 player in the DHK hit the opponent with butt-end during thes cuffle after Event1.
The player got Match Penalty for it.
RULE 121–BUTT-ENDING
DEFINITION: A player who slides the top hand on his stick down the shaft to create a dangerous protrusion which he drives into the body of an opponent. An attempt to butt-end is punishable by a double minor and misconduct penalty. A player who butt-ends an opponent will be assessed either a major and automatic game-misconduct penalty or a match penalty. A player who injures or recklessly endangers an opponent by butt-ending will be assessed a match penalty.
According to the Disciplinary Committees statement, the movement of the player was unsportsmanlike. He didn’t cause injuries with his action, but it could have been initiate a more serious scuffle in that situation. Because of the rapid intervention of the referees, didn’t be fall another fight, the offending player was isolated quickly.
The Disciplinary Committee prohibited Vladislav TROSHIN, DHK player for 2 MOL League matches.
The players will sit down their sentences at the next in line MOL League matches.
