The Disciplinary Committee no.2015-16/056 decree

The Disciplinary Committee investigated the MOL League game MOL 238 (DVTK Jegesmedvek - MAC Budapest) where Attila PAVUK, player of DVTK Jegesmedvek was collided with an opponent player. Penalty was not called In connection with the case. The Committee made the following conclusions:

After 32 minutes the player of DVTK Jegesmedvek, pushed his opponent from behind, toward the board. The player who suffered the collision was not injured, he was able to continue the game.

IIHF RULE 123 – CHECKING FROM BEHIND

DEFINITION: A player who delivers a check to a vulnerable player who is not aware of the impending hit or who is unable to protect or defend himself from such a hit. The point of contact is the back of the body. A player who recklessly endangers an opponent as a result of checking from behind will be assessed a major penalty and game-misconduct penalty.

According to the statement of the Disciplinary Committee, the player grasped the opponent player from behind, pushed and led his body and head to the board. Attila PAVUK recklessly endangered the physical safety of the fellow players with the push.

The Disciplinary Commitee suspends Attila PAVUK, the DVTK Jegesmedvek player for 1 MOL League match.

The player will spend down his sentence at the next MOL League match.
