MOL League: DVTK stays on top

After the win in Csíkszereda, last night Fehérvár only made one change to their lineup as Alex Scola was in between pipes in the place of Janis Kalnins. On the home front Árpád Mihály was back in the lineup with Zoltán Tőke. The first goal of the game was not scored until the final two minutes of the first period when Brance Órbán scored, in the first minute of the second period Mihály tied it up with a power play goal. The visitors took back the lead as they scored two goals in the period, Chris Bodó set up Mitch Holmberg for the go ahead goal. Later in the period with Fehérvár on the two man advantage the league's two leading scorers combined for a goal with Bodó putting it into the back of the net. Fehérvár pulled away in the third period when Preston Shupe put one past Tőke. Zsolt Molnár cut the deficit to two but Holmberg scored his second of the game in the closing minutes to set the final at 5-2

Fehérvár head coach Tyler Dietrich: It was a very good game especially considering the schedule of both teams. It was a tight game all throughout, which could have gone both ways.

DVTK-MAC 4-3 (OT)

Second place MAC traveled to first place Diósgyőr, with a visitors win MAC could jump to the top of the standings. MAC had their leader Viktor Tokaji was back in the lineup and Bence Bálizs was in the net. For DVTK Attila Adorján was in net but Balázs Gőz and Balázs Láda were missing along with Ákos Láczkó being suspended. Keegan Dansereau put DVTK up in the first period with an unassisted goal. Diósgyőr lead until deep into the second period when Drew Olson set up Niko Saarenpaa for the tying goal but less than two minute later Kalvin Sagert gave the lead back to DVTK, Dansereau scored his second of the night in the last minute of the period to give them a two goal lead. In the third period MAC got it going as first Attila Németh set up Dezső Roczanov to make it a one goal game and Ian McDonald tied it up off of a pass from Jeff Hayes. In overtime a Jon Booras goal gave DVTK two points and MAC went back to Budapest with one.

DHK-FTC 3-2

Savva Borodin started for the first time this season in net for Debrecen and Balázs Ladány was behind the bench in place Dmitri Romanov, Ferencváros had Krisztián Budai in net. The visitors took the lead in the first period when Jimmy Jensen set Jereme Tendler on a two on one short handed goal. In the first minute of the second period Norbert Hári tied it up, the game stayed deadlocked at 1-1 through the rest of the period and into the third. Péter Hetényi  scored a power play goal to put DHK back up by one but Fradi scored a power play goal of their own when Tendler scored his second of the game when he put  a rebound past Borodin. Minutes later Vladislav Troshin scored the third Debrecen goal which ended up being the winner in the 3-2 win.
