
HSC-UTE 4-5 OT
After beating Brasov the night before UTE hoped to pick up another three points on their road trip, Ales Sila started in net with Marek Peksa starting for Csíkszereda. The home team scored first when Kirils Tambijevs setup Anton berlev to make it 1-0. Later period Tambijevs scored one of his own off of a pass by Ziga Kuzman for a short hander and a 2-0 lead. Kalvis Ozols made it 3-0 in the early part of the second period but minutes later UTE scored their first goal when Martin Turbucz found the back of the net, Tamás Gröschl assisted on the goal. Later in the period Eric Pance made it a one goal game off of a pass by Josef Mihálik, before the period was over Mihálik had tied the game up at 3-3. In the third period Tambijevs scored his second of the game to put the home team up by one but again UTE came back, this time on a goal by Peter Huba. The game stayed tied at 4-4 and the game went into overtime. In the last minute of the extra period Dániel Kiss scored the game winner to give UTE two out of the three points.
DHK-DAB 8-3
Dunaújváros traveled to Debrecen where they would be playing for the first time without Zsolt Azari who had signed with Polish club Sanok. The home team had Savva Borodin in net with Breton Lindoff defending the visitors cage. The home team jumped out to a 2-0 lead with Ákos Berta scoring the first goal off of pass by Zoltán Csíki and Danil Kaskov scoring the second one. Seconds later Zoltán Revák scored to make it 2-1.However before the period was out Debrecen scored twice to make it 4-1. Evgeni Kunaev scored a shorthanded goal and Áron Konczei scored in the closing minutes. to start the second period DAB switched Lindoff for Duschek, in the middle period the scoring had dropped off. Two Phil Bushbacher goals made it a one score game as he scored a power play goal and an even strength goal, but Kaskov scored his second of the game to put DHK back up by two. Debrecen pulled away in the third period with three unanswered goals, with Berta completing his hatrick with two goals and Kuanev scoring the other one for the big win.
AV19-MAC 3-4
MAC made the trip down to Fehérvár where they had Bence Bálizs starting in net and the home team countered with Alex Scola. The scoring started off a bit slow as the game was scoreless in the first period. The goals started to fall in the second, Jeff Hayes put MAC up 1-0 when Ian McDonald dropped the puck for Hayes who skated through the slot and put the puck past Scola glove side. Half a minute later the game was tied when Preston Shupe plucked the puck out of the air from Holmberg’s stick. Right before the midway point of the game Holmberg made it 2-1 for Fehérvár, but the lead did not last long as Hayes centered pass into the slot that McDonald stopped, adjusted and put the puck low glove side into the net. In the closing seconds of the second period Krisztián Nagy set up Niko Saarenpaa for a short handed breakaway. MAC went up by two goals as Michael Quinn took a shot from the blue line that hit the goal post and went in. In the closing minutes Holmberg scored to make it a one goal game, Volán pulled their goalie for the extra attacker but it was not enough as MAC held on for the win.
