
UTE-DHK 9-2
Debrecen is trying to keep pace with second place MAC Budapest and UTE is trying to pad their playoff positions. The home team was without Detre Hodos and Tamás Sommer with Ales Sila getting the start in net. Debrecen has been dealing with a rash of injuries and suspension, Norbert Hári started on the blueline, the team was without Norbert Dancsfalvi, Lőrinc Tanka, Mikhail Ustyanysev and Artyom Vaszjunyin because of injury and Bronson Kovács is suspended with Ádám Vay in net. Kasper Emanuelsson set up Hári for the Debrecen lead, Újpest tied it up on the following shift when Róbert Dömötör put the puck past Vay. Before the period was out Benji Nemes had given UTE a 2-1 lead. Tamás Gröschl put the home team up 3-1 in the opening minutes of the second period off of a Péter Gágyor pass. Eric Pance made it 4-1 on a power play goal, just as it looked like UTE was going to pull away Vladislav Troshin scored less than a minute after the Pance goal. In the third period UTE really closed the book on teh game as they scored five in the last period, Jozef Mihalák by him self had a hattrick. Karol Csányi and Martin Turbucz also got involved in the scoring, late in the period Debrecen pulled Vay for Arnold László who made his MOL League debut.
DVTK-DAB 7-2
Dunaújváros has been a problem for DVTK all season, the home team needs to pick up a win if they do not want to be passed by second place MAC. The home team was without Balázs Gőz, Balázs Láda and Patrik Popovics with Ádám Laczkó being suspended, starting in goal was Attila Adorján. For Dunaújváros Breton Lindof got the start, they were without Nikita Kolesnikovs, Imre Peterdi and Máté Szepessy also missing was Bence Dörök who is suspended. Kalvin Sagert scored first for Diógyőr but Dunaújváros tied it up before the period was out on a Péter Németh tieing it up before the period was out. In the second period Roland Hajós setup Adrián Tóth for a short handed goal to make it 2-1 for DVTK, on the same penalty DAB was able to ties it up on a Gergely Borbás goal. DVTK pulled away late in the period when Nikandrosz Galanisz scored an unassisted goal and Jesse Dudás on the power play late in the closing minutes. Dunaújváros was not able to keep up with the defending champions as they pulled away in the third period. Jon Booras made it 5-2 in the first minutes of the third, Balázs Somogyi and a second Sagert goal set the final at 7-2
FTC-MAC 5-6 OT
Ferencváros was looking to get out of a bad streak and MAC wanted to keep pace with DVTK. MAC was playing without Viktor Tokaji and Bence Bálizs was in net, for the home team was still without Gergely Géczi and the suspended Linus Schellin Krisztián Budai was defending the net. The visitors were up 1-0 before the game was even two minutes old when Dávid Szappanos stuffed a rebound home. Ferencváros tied it up when Juha Hietamaki fired the puck off the post but Jimmy Jenson put the rebound home for the power play goal. Attila Rafaj gave Ferencváros the lead when the puck bounced off of Bálizs’ mask and in. Gábor Kiss made it 3-1 on a power play goal but in the last minute of the period Krisztián Nagy sent a rocket into the back of the net to cut it to a one goal lead. After a five goal first period the two teams played a scoreless middle twenty minutes. In the third period the two teams were back at lighting the lamp, Vladimir Dubek set up Attila Rafaj to put Fradi up by two but MAC was able to climb back. First István Terbócs scored and then Drew Olson with about ten minutes left. Terbócs looked to have give MAC the lead for good at 52:21 but Rafaj completed his hattrick to lock the game at 5-5 and send it to overtime. With ten seconds left in overtime Drew Olson scored a powerplay goal to give the visitors the extra point.
