Newly signed Alex Grieve was in in the lineup for the first time for Fehérvár who were without Ádám Hegyi, Janis Kalnins was in net. For the visitors Újpest József Pleszkán was the starting goalie in net and László Pados was playing his first game since leaving Fehérvár. Both team had scoring chances throughout the first half of the game as they both had power play chances but neither team managed to score. The first goal of the game was not scored until late in the second period when Mitch Holmberg beat Pleszkán for the power play goal, 19 seconds late the game was tied up again when Ákos Kiss scored. Holmberg scored his second goal of the game in the closing seconds of the period to give Fehérvár a one goal lead as the teams headed into the second intermission. UTE tied it up again, this time on a power play goal as Teemu Elomo set up Jozef Mihálik who put the puck in the back of the net. The game stayed tied at 2-2 through the rest of the third period and overtime. The game ended up being settled in a shootout, which ended up going to the home team as Grieve scored the winning shot.
FTC-DHK 3-2 OT
Ferencváros was hoping to climb back into the race for the final playoff spot. Oliver Ágoston was in net and Zalán Fliszár was back in the lineup for the home team. Debrecen countered with Savva Borodin as the starting goalie. Jereme Tendler gave the home team the lead, just past the midway point of the first period. The score stayed 1-0 for a long time, until FTC picked up their only two penalties of the three seconds apart. Debrecen capitalized on this when Martin Saluga scored on the 5 on 3 to tie the game up at 1-1. The visitors took their first lead of the game in the early part of the third period off the stick of Artyom Vaszjunyin, but less than a minute later Joona Manninen scored, the game stayed locked at 2-2 for the last few minute of regulation. In the second minute of OT Tendler scored his second of the game to give FTC two out of the three points.
