With Dunaújváros selling most of their imports before the transfer deadline, they had all hands on deck as everyone under contract dressed except for Márk Nagy, Marcell Lajcs made his first start of the season. Csíkszereda had Ede Mihály suspended and Huba Bors was out with an injury, Gellért Ruczuj got the start in net for the Transylvanian club. Sport Club went up 2-0in a thirty second span in the first period when Alexander Dyadyushko and Ervin Moldován both found the back of the net, however Zoltán Revák cut the deficit in half. In the first minute of the second period Dyadyushko scored his second of the game to put Csíkszereda back up by two goals. Alpár Salló and Kirils Tambijevs each scored a goal to make it 5-1 after the second period. In the third period goals by Zoltán Revák and Mike McCann got DAB back into the game. In the closing minutes Zsombor Antal made it 6-3 for Csíkszereda.
AV19-Brasov 6-1
With nothing to gain or lose Fehérvár had a number of players out of the lineup, Attila Reiter, Ádám Z. Hegyi, Márk Szaller and Gergely Korbuly were all out, with Janis Kalnins starting in net. Brasov had the lineup that they have had all along on their road trip with Levente Zsók missing, Zoltán Tőke started in net. Mitch Holmberg opened up the scoring in the twelfth minute of the game when he put the puck into the back of the cage.Alba Volán pretty much put the game away in the second period on four unanswered goals, Holmberg scored twice to complete his hat trick with Ferenc Kocsis and Alex Grieve also finding the back of the net. The third period Brasov switched Tőke for Szilárd Béres in net however Szilárd Hamvai put one past him as well. Dániel Trance broke the shutout that Kalnins had going with about ten minutes to go.
FTC-DVTK 3-7
Ferencváros had nothing left to play for however DVTK was one point away from getting the regular season title. The home team had Krisztián Budai starting in net with Lőrinc Farkas, Linus Schellin and Attila Rafaj out of the lineup. Jarkko Leppanen and Roland Hajós were missing with Jesse Dudás sitting out a suspension, Dávid Gyenes started in net. In the opening minutes of the game Keegan Dansereau put Diósgyőr up 1-0, later in the period Marko Luomala tied it up for Fradi. Diósgyőr went up by two goals in the first half of the second period when this past week’s player of the week Jon Booras scored with Adrián Tóth also finding a goal. At the midway point of the game Ferencváros switched goalies as László Soós went in for Krisztián Budai. In the closing minutes of the period Vladimir Dubek made it a one goal game. Diósgyőr pulled away in the third period with four straight goals, Jon Booras scored in the first minute of the period on a power play goal, Balázs Somogyi and Ádám Fekti both scored before Booras completed his hat trick in the game. Nico Souraniemi scored in the final minute of play to make it 7-3
MAC-UTE 6-3
Visiting Újpest had one last game left to clinch home ice advantage in the first round, József Pleszkán started in net with Jozef Mihálik out of the lineup. MAC had Gergely Arany in net and Mike Quinn sitting out a one game suspension. Tomas Klempa made it 1-0 on a nice one timer from right in front of the net off of a pass from Krisztián Nagy. In the closing minutes of the first period Tamás Pozsgai took a pass from Bence Stipsicz and put it on net from the left faceoff circle. On a power play in the last seconds Ian McDonald took a shot from the right faceoff circle that made it past Pleszkán. In the second period István Terbócs put a rebound into the empty net to put them up 4-0 and McDonald made it 5-0. In the third period Újpest came to life, first Eric Pance took a shot from the corner that took an awkward bounce off of Arany and went it to end the shutout. Later in the period Dániel Kiss wove through traffic and slipped the puck past Arany and minutes later Róbert Dömötör blasted one from close range. With five minutes left in the game McDonald scored to put MAC back up by three goals.
