MOL League: Glory Road in all 4 games

Újpest and Ferencváros are on their first Transylvanian road trips, Debrecen is trying to keep up with Diósgyőr and Fehérvár wants to continue on a positive note. The road teams were victorious in all four games.

HSC-FTC 1-2 (OT)

Ferencváros made their first trip to Csíkszereda this season where they hopped to get things straightened out after their last game, a 12-4 loss to DVTK, Csíkszerda came into the matchup on a two game winning streak. Starting in net for Fradi was Krisztián Budai, the home team countered with Marek Peksa. The two goalies went toe to toe as the first period came and went without the puck crossing either goal line. The first goal was not scored until after the midway point when when Huba Bors scored a powerplay goal to put HSC up 1-0. Later in the period Attila Rafaj lit the lamp as he scored to make it 1-1. The goalies kept up their excellent play as the game stayed tied at 1-1 through the rest of the second and third periods. In overtime Rafaj struck again with Juha Hietamaki getting the assist. FTC coach Greg Lindqvist always says you can't win a game by only scoring two goals but this time his team did.

DAB-DVTK 3-4

The last time Diógyőr played in Dunaújváros the home team picked up an overtime win. DAB is trying to stay win in striking range of the final playoff spot. Dávid Duschek was in net for DAB as he faced his former team, Bence Kiss was in net for DVTK. Dunaújváros killed a five minute penalty in the opening minutes but Nikandrosz Galanisz found the back of the net to put DVTK up 1-0. Diósgyőr doubled their lead in the first minute of the second when Balázs Gőz with Jon Booras putting the visitors up 3-0. In the last minute of the second period Dunaújváros started their comeback when Phil Busbacher put the puck past Kiss. A second Busbacher goal made it a one goal game with Timur Rusalov tieing it up with under ten minutes left. In the end DAB could not keep up with DVTK as Kalvin Sagert scored in the 55th minute to give the PolarBears the three points.

Brasov-UTE 2-5

For the first time this season Újpest traveled to Brasov, UTE started the season a bit slow but have been rising up through the table as of late, Brasov has had an up and down season with playing in two competitions simultaneously. József Pleszkán was in net for UTE and Zoltán Tőke for Brasov. UTE has been scoring goals the last couple of games and they did again,  Ádám Pischler scored an unassisted goal to give UTE the early lead but a Csaba Nagy power play goal made it 1-1. Újpest scored four unanswered goals in the second period, Benji Nemes and Peter Huba scored less than a minute apart, with Karol Csányi  making it 4-1 on a powerplay goal. Detre Hodos put the visitors up 5-1 before Brasov managed a second goal when Zsolt Molnár set up István Sprencz. No goals were scored in the third period.

DHK-AV19 1-3

Debrecen needed a win if they wanted to keep up with DVTK, Fehérvár just wanted a good game to wipe the slate clean after an emotional week. Dániel Szabó was playing his first game of the season after recovering from an injury. Ádám Vay and Janis Kalnins were the two goalies in net. After a scoreless first period, Áron Reisz made it 1-0 in the second minute of the second period. Later in the period the two teams exchanged goals as Ádám Z. Hegyi scored a power play goal to double the Volán lead. Debrecen answered when Dániel Godó set up Áron Könczei to make it a one goal game. Before the period was out Márk Szaller scored his first goal of the MOL League season to make it 3-1, which would end up being the final score.
