
The two Budapest teams switched opponents on Saturday, one team was happy with picking up five points the other one will be leaving Romania with a bad taste in their mouths.
HSC-UTE 4-1
Csíkszereda was hoping to get back at Újpest after coming up just a bit short against them in Budapest, UTE was hoping to make it a six point Romanian road trip. Marek Peksa started in net for HSC Csíkszereda and Ales Sila was defending the UTE net. Jozef Mihalik put the visitors up 1-0. The second half of the game was all Csíkszereda as Kalvis Ozols tied it up in the 33rd minute on a power play goal. Ede Mihály setup Huba Bors to give the home team the first lead of the game on a shorthanded goal. Minutes later Zsombor Antal scored a power play goal that Kirils Tambijevs setup. In the end Tambijevs scored an empty net goal to make it 4-1 as Csíkszereda split with the Budapest teams this weekend.
Brasov-FTC 3-6
Ferencváros was hoping to make it a six point weekend after beating Csíkszereda Friday night, also the last time these two teams played each other, in Budapest, Brasov took away the three points. Rajmon Fülöp was in net for Brasov and Ferencváros countered with Krisztián Budai. Freshly signed Jereme Tendler scored in the first minute of play for Fradi and the Budapest club didn’t really look back the rest of the way. Attila Rafaj and Tomas Valecko made it 3-0 twelve minutes into the game when Brasov coach Ottó Keresztes pulled Fülöp for Zoltán Tőke. The move did not help as Tendler scored his second of the night against the new goalie. In the last minute of the period Brasov finally got on the scoreboard when Levente Zsók set up Árpád Mihály for the goal. In the second period the two teams exchanged goals as Dánile Tranca made it a two goal game, only to have Jimmy Jensen put it back to a three goal lead on a short hander. Jensen scored his second of the game in the first minute of the third period to make it 6-2, Imre János took a pass from Dennis Dumitru to score the third Brasov goal to make it 6-3 final.
