MOL League Meeting

There were six points on the latest MOL League meeting agenda that was held on Thursday.

League president Álmos Szőke updated the clubs on the financial situation of the League and how the negotiating with new sponsors have been going.

The idea of a mutual fund that would be set up to sponsor and fund local larger hockey events, clubs could apply to tap into the pot when and if needed.

The idea of DVTK playing in the top Slovak league was also discussed at length, in the end it was decided that a committee needs to be put in place to look at what would be the ideal move for the club and league.

The situation with the two Transylvanian clubs was also discussed, it was determined that the teams the teams try to work together as much as possible for the sake of the league.

The league voted on if they should make neck guard or neck protectors mandatory, in the end they decided to only recommend it and players were at their own risk.

The last item on the agenda was that Vasas asked to receive the statues of observer, which means that they will be able to attend league meeting but will not have any voting right or privileges.
