Brasov Head Coach Ottó Keresztes: Debreceni HK is a strong team with fast skaters and valuable imports. We had to make great efforts in order to cover all areas of the ice and we are more than happy to have gained these 2 points. Our goalie was very good tonight especially since he was playing against his former team. We will try to do our best and recover by tomorrow’s game against DTVK Jegesmedvek, the defending champions

DAB-AV19 4-1

Both teams had players back in the in the lineup, Dávid Duschek was in the lineup but Breton Lindoff got the start in net. On the other side Richárd Reiter was playing his first game of the season after coming back from injury, Tyler Dietrich gave Alex Scola the start. Fehérvár took the first lead of the game when Devon Krogh put a rebound past Lindoff. The Dunaújváros goal was playing great and was keeping his team in the game. The only goal of the second period when Áron Reisz scored his first goal of the season, when he slipped you rebound into the goal on the power play. In the second minute of the third period Mitch Holmberg scored probably one of the most unusual goals of his career as his shot from high in the slot deflected off of Rene Léránt’s face and into the Dunaújváros net. Not long after Reisz scored his second of the game as he took a crip pass on the fly from Chris Bodó and one timed it past the goalies ear. Scola tried to keep the shutout but he was unable, Scola made a routine save and let go of the puck as if the whistle had sounded but the official never whistled. Gergely Borbás with the heads up play flipped the puck past Scola to make it 4-1

Fehérvár Head coach Tyler Dietrich: It's a good feeling to get the first road win, I was happy with the fashion we won. We got the job down, no way was it perfect but we have the three points and that's what matters

Csíkszereda had scoring chances in their counter attacks however we defended well. I had mentioned before that our power play and penalty kill will be important. We scored three times out of the six power plays we had and we were able to kill six out of the seven shorthanded situations.
