
Tuesday night hockey brought three games to the MOL League fans that were all exciting close finishes.
DHK-HSC 5-6 OT
Debrecen hasn’t been playing that well lately and HSC Csíkszereda have been playing up and down. Ádám Vay was in net for Debrecen, Marek Peksa was in net for the visitors. Ervin Moldován put HSC up in the first minute of play and Anton Berlev doubling the lead. Debrecen cut back on a power play goal by Bronson Kovács and before the period was out DHK had taken the lead on Péter Hetényi and Danil Kaskov. The excitement continued into the second period when Berlev scored 13 seconds into the period. In the final twenty minutes things really picked up, Raman Mahzdeyeu gave HSC the lead but again DHK evened it up on a Vladislav Troshin goal and took the lead on an Ákos Berta goal. Looked like Debrecen would keep the three points at home but in the final half minute Anton Berlev found the back to the net to send the game into overtime. In the extra period Kalvins Ozols scored a power play goal to give HSC two out of the three points.
DAB-UTE 4-3
For the first time season Dunaújváros hosted UTE, the home team has surprised a number of teams and UTE has been playing up and down. Dávid Duschek and Ales Sila were the two goals on record. Michael McCann set up Imre Peterdi for the opening goal, UTE tied it up at 1-1 in the final minute of the period when Dániel Kiss found the back of the net. In the early minute of the third period Phil Busbacher put DAB backup 2-1. Zsolt Azari gave the SteelBulls some breathing room to make it 3-1. Later in the period Józef Mihálik cut it to a one goal game, in the end UTE was not able to close the gap.
MAC-Brasov 2-1
Brasov visited MAC for the first time this season, the visiting team was without Árpád Mihály and had Zoltán Tőke in net, the home team had Gergely Arany defending the cage. In the opening minutes of the game Krisztián Nagy skated in but Töke stuffed his attempet, István Terbócs was on the spot to but the puck into the back of the net. MAC had the chance to open up a lead late in the first period but were not able to convert the 5 on 3. In the second period Ian McDonald had a nice breakaway where he slipped the puck past Tőke for the goal. The score stayed at 2-0 until late in the game when the puck squeezed through Arany’s pads off of a Zsolt Molnár shot.
