MOL League Player of the Week: K. Dansereau

2014.10.31. 16:51 |

This past week Miskolc picked up six very important points in their wins against Debrecen and Nové Zámky. Leading the way during the two games was Keegan Dansereau with four goals and two assist.

Dansereau had one goal and an assist in an easy win over the upstart team from Debrecen who has been struggling to overcome a rash of injuries. The game against Nové Zámky was a high scoring affair as Miskolc beat the defending champions 7-5 with Dansereau registering a natural hat trick and adding an assist as well, because of this he has become this past weeks MOL League player of the week.

Keegan Dansereau hails from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in Canada and is part of the North American contingency that has developed in Miskolc this season. Dansereau spent the last two seasons in Sweden in the Division 1, which is the third tier in the Swedish hockey pyramid.

Keegan started out his hockey career like any other Canadian kid playing hockey, he was taken 9th overall in the WHL bantam draft by the Calgary Hitmen where he played four seasons of junior hockey before moving on to the Swift Current Broncos for two season. During his last season he averaged over a point a game.

His first season of pro hockey was split between the ECHL and the AHL before making his first tour in Sweden during the 2010-11 season where he had 57 points in 37 games.

Look for Keegan to bring his scoring prowess during the rest of the season as Miskolc looks to win the regular season and win the MOL League.
