MOL League: Shake up in the standings

HSC-DHK 4-1

After losing to Brasov Debrecen was hoping to at least pick up a win during their road trip in Transylvania. Savva Borodin started for the second game in a row for Debrecen, HSC countered with Marek Peksa in net. The visitors took a 1-0 lead in the early part of the game when they caught Csíkszereda in the line change and Vladislav Troshin set up Ákos Berta for the goal. HSC tied it up on their first power play of the game when Anton Berlev set up Kirils Tambijves for the goal. Debrecen decided to switch keepers as Ádám Vay went in for Borodin before the game was even ten minutes old. Tamás Bíró gave Csíkszereda the lead when he took a pass from Huba Bors and put it past the Debrecen goalie, before the period was out HSC had a two goal lead thanks to Kalvis Ozols scoring on the two man advantage. After a scoreless second period Csíkszereda held a two goal lead into the third period when Tambijevs scored his second goal of the night with the team on a two man advantage.

DAB-MAC 4-5 OT

Dunaújváros  had Dávid Duschek in net, MAC countered with Gergely Arany, the team was missing Bence Stipsicz for the second game in a row. The home team jumped out to a 2-0 lead when they scored twice in under a minute. The first goal came off the stick of Phil Bushbacher with the veteran Imre Peterdi doubling the lead when he redirected a shot. Later in the period MAC got on the board when Krisztián Nagy set up Niko Saarenpaa off the faceoff to make it 2-1. In the closing minute of the first twenty minutes Peterdi but DAB backup by two goals, but MAC countered again before the period was out, this time Drew Olson scored on the two man advantage, with Jeff Hayes getting the assist. MAC switched goalies for the second period as Bence Bálizs took the place of Arany. The two teams exchanged goals during a short span in the second period, first Michal Vazan made it 4-2 but Viktor Tokaji cut it to a one goal game. In the third period just like in the first Nagy set up Saarenpaa for the goal, to tie it at 4-4. The game went into overtime where the veteran Tokaji scored the game winner to have MAC two out of the three points.

FTC-AV19 6-3

Home team Ferencváros was hoping to put an end to the slide that they were on, Oliver Ágoston was in net Fehérvár had Alex Scola in net as Janis Kalnins is still injured. Alba Volán took the lead thanks to a goal by Áron Reisz, less than two minutes later Joona Manninen tied the game up and before the period was out Fradi had the lead as Gábor Kiss had scored an unassisted goal. In the second minute of the second period the young Volán defender Bence Szabó tied it up at two, soon after Tihamér Becze put Volán back up by one. In the closing second of the period Zalán Fliszár scored his first goal of the season to tie it up at 3-3. The third period was all Ferencváros as Kiss took a pass from Manninen and put the puck past Scola to make it 4-3. Jereme Tendler had a late brace to set the final score at 6-3.
