MOL League: Two close games & 1 blowout

Brasov-MAC 2-15

The visiting team from Budapest had Gergely Arany in net with Brasov starting Zoltán Tőke in net, they were missing Árpád Mihály and Dániel Tranca from the squad. MAC scored early and often through all three periods. Tomas Klempa opened up the scoring in the second minute of play, later in the period in about a two and a half minute span Jeff Hayes twice and Niko Saarenpaa once found the back of the net with Drew Olson later scoring a power play goal to make it 4-0. Late in the period Gergő Bíró set up his brother Mátyás for a short handed goal as Brasov took a goal back. Early in the second period Hayes completed his hattrick with Dávid Szappanos getting on the goal scoring list and Saarenpaa scoring the eight MAC goal, which was the one that chased Tőke from the cage as Brasov switched him for Szilárd Béres, Bence Bödök scored the fourth MAC goal of the middle period. Attila Németh scored in the first minute of the third period and soon after followed with his second of the game. Árpád Németh scored his first goal of the season and later in the period chalked up his second one as well. Saarenpaa completed his hattrick and Szappanos also scored in the period. Csanád Virág scored a power play goal for Brasov as the final score was 15-2.

SC-AV19 2-3

Janis Kalnins started in net for Fehérvár and Marek Peksa for Csíkszereda, the visitors took the early lead off of a goal by Alex Grieve with Brance Orbán getting the assist. Later in the period Mitch Holmberg doubled the lead of of a pass by Grieve. In the second period Csíkszereda tied the game up after Kirils Tambijevs setup Aleksei Alekseev and Tamás Bíró scored a power play goal.  In the final twenty minutes Tihamér Becze set up Preston Shupe for the game winner in teh closely fought game.

DHK-UTE 4-5 (SO)

Debrecen was short handed as three players were out with injuries and Fedor Kozlovskij made his debut. Ádám Vay and Ales Sila were the two starting goalies for the game. Debrecen started the game well as during a short span late in the first period they scored three goals. Bronson Kovács opened up the scoring with Martin Saluga doubling the Debrecen lead with Kozlovskij scoring his first MOL League goal in his first game. Áron Könczei made it a 4-0 lead and it looked as if the three points would stay at home. UTE scored twice later in the second period in less than a minute with goals from Ákos Kiss and Teemu Elomo who was set up by Dániel Kiss. The third period was all UTE as they scored twice. Tamás Gröschl scored a power play goal with Peter Huba making it 4-4 with less than five minutes left in the period. After a scoreless overtime the game went into a shootout with Teemu Elomo scoring the game winner.
