MOL League: Two Shutouts in Romania

MAC traveled to Brasov for the last time of the season without Drew Olson who was sitting out his last game of a five game suspension, Gergely Arany got the start. Brasov countered with their full lineup with Zoltán Tőke in net. Bence Stipsicz set up István Mestyán for the opening goal of the game, just over a minute later the player of the week Viktor Tokaji doubled the MAC lead in the first period. MAC was up by three goals before the period was out when Richárd Tóth found the back of the net. In the second period for the third time in the game a defenceman scored a goal for MAC with Mike Quinn  getting the pass from Ian McDonald. Gergely Arany went the distance for the shut.

SC-UTE 0-1

Újpest arrived to Csíkszereda missing a couple of players as they were ill, László Pados, Karol Csány, Arnold Feil and Péter Gágyor, Ales Sila was starting in net. for the for the home team had Marek Peksa. This game was a real defensive battle as both teams needed the win, Csíkszereda to make the playoffs and UTE wanting home ice advantage. The first twenty minutes came and went without a goal being scored. The shutout on both ends continued until the 33rd minute when Ákos Kiss managed to put the puck past Peksa. The scored stayed in the favor of the visiting team from Budapest through the rest of the second and all through the third period as Sila went the length for the shutout.
