DHK-AV19  3-6

After getting blown out by MAC on Sunday night Debrecen was trying to get back their winning ways as they hosted Fehérvár. The home team was without Kasper Emanuelsson and Danil Kaskov with Savva Borodin in net. For Fehérvár Brance Orbán was called up to the EBEL team, Tamás Láday was sitting out a suspension and Attila Reiter and Dániel Mazzag were out as well, however Dániel Szabó was back after a long injury. The visitors took an early lead off of a power play goal by Mitch Holmberg, just before the ten minute mark Alex Grieve doubled the Fehérvár lead. Debrecen switched goalies as Vay came in for Borodin who had given up two goals on three shots. It didn’t take long for Volán to go up 3-0 when Devon Krogh found the back of the net, in the last minute of the period Tihamér Becze made it 4-0. In the second period Ferenc Kocsis scored the fifth Volán goal, Debrecen finally got on the scoreboard in the second period was well when Dániel Godó scored his first of the season. UTE-DAB 1-2

The home team was missing their team captain Teemu Elomo who was sitting out a one game suspension and Ales Sila was in net. Dunaújváros was also playing with a full roster aside from Mike McCann still being out and Dávid Duschek was in net. Unlike the last time these two teams faced off in Újpest this was a much lower scoring affair as the first period did not bring a goal. In the second period it didn’t take long for the first goal to be scored as Miroslav Durak blasted a shot from the blueline that made it through for a power play goal. Later in the period UTE tied it up when Róbert Dömötör redirected a Victor Lindgren shot from the blueline that trickled through Duschek. The game stayed tied through the rest of the game, in overtime Ádám Hegyi scored off of a rebound to give UTE two out of the three points.
