What better way to spend the weekend between Christmas and New Years than attending MOL League games. Diósgyőr and MAC Budapest sit at the top of the MOL League standings tied on points, with everyone else in the hunt except for Brasov.
The fans in Miskolc will have Budapest days as DVTK will be opening up the match week against Újpest and Ferencváros on back to back days with a road game at Debrecen. Diógyőr was short handed on their road trip to Romania with Jon Booras expecting a child and Jesse Dudás out with an injury. Adrián Tóth and Levente Szilágyi will be missing for some time.
The match week will start out with a Transylvanian derby as Brasov will host Csíkszereda. MAC and Fehérvár will be the two teams that will be traveling to Romania to take on the Transylvanian clubs Csíkszereda and Brasov. There is some disciplinary action to come from the League office after last Tuesday’s Fehérvár-MAC matchup, because of this there could be some players missing on top of the injured players. Brasov will play MAC and Csíkszereda will host Fehérvár first before the sides switch cities. If there are no conflicting matches in the Romanian league both teams will have a full line up and are hard to beat at home.
Debrecen is one point behind third place Fehérvár, they team has had an up and down season up to this point. They will travel to Dunaújváros before hosting Újpest, which is a TV game, who is two points behind them, the team will close out the match week with a tough game against DVTK.
Like DVTK at the start of the week, Dunaújváros will also be having their Budapest days but they will be traveling north to Budapest to take on Ferencváros and UTE on back to back days.
