MOL League: Week 17 Preview

What better way to kickoff the new year than a full slate of MOL League games. DVTK and MAC have already clinched a playoff spot. There looks to be three races developing as DVTK and MAC fight for first place, with three team race for third and three team race for the final playoff spot with about 12-13 games left.

First place Diósgyőr will be spending the match week in Budapest as they hope to get revenge against Ferencváros for last week’s loss, their second game will be a TV game at MAC who they have a one point lead on. DVTK will still be without Adrián Tóth and Levente Szilágyi this week.

Ferencváros will be playing Újpest on New Year's Day and the green and white are on a bit of a streak and they hope to have Viktor Kovács back in the lineup soon. MAC will be facing Debrecen in the early part of the week, Drew Olson has been suspended for five games.

Debrecen will finish out the match week against Fehérvár, after last seasons surprise finish the team has struggled a bit with injuries and have had three different coaches behind the bench. There also has been a lot of player movement as well, joining the team was a pair of Russians in Denis Khramtsov and Fyodor Kozlovsky.

Fehérvár will start the new year visiting their Fehér County rivals Dunaújváros, who will close out the match week with a visit to Újpest.

The two Transylvanian clubs, Sc Csíkszereda and Brasov will have the MOL League match week off.
