MOL League: Week 20 Preview

2016.01.21. 11:19 |

The MOL League is coming down to the closing stretch, DVTK and MAC have clinched a first round bye and Fehérvár is one point away from locking up the third spot, Brasov has been eliminated from the playoffs.

League leaders Diógyőr hope to finish off the stretch run with an undefeated record, they will be travelling to Újpest for their first of two games in the match week with a home game against last place Brasov. DVTK should have their newest player defenseman Garrett Clark on their team by the weekend. UTE has not been able to find the back of the netd and should be harder without Teemu Elomo who has left the team.

Brasov will be rounding out their four game Hungarian road trip in Miskolc but they will be playing three games in three nights by starting it off on Thursday at Dunaújváros with games at UTE and Debrecen following.

Csíkszereda will also be on a Hungarian road trip however they will only be playing three games, two in Fejér county against Dunaújváros and Fehérvár, with a Monday night game at Ferencváros.

MAC will be hosting their Budapest rivals during the week, however because the Tüskecsarnok is booked for a Ping-Pong tournament the new expansion team will be playing at “home” two hours away in Kaposvár, the game against UTE is still to be determined.

Besides their game against Sport Club Csíkszereda Fehérvár will be traveling to Debrecen where all they need to do is pick up a point to lock up third place finish in the regular season.

Dunaújváros will be finishing out there match week against Ferencváros, if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive they will pretty much need a clean sweep during the week.
