The MOL League regular season has come to a close, Miskolc has won the regular season with DAB.Docler also getting a first round bye. Nové Zámky, Brasov, Debrecen and Újpest also qualified for the playoffs with Ferencváros and Csíkszereda missing out.
Miskolc clinched the top seed with a 6-2 win over Újpest, Zach Cohen had two goals, Újpest still did not have the league's leading scorer Jozef Mihalik. With a win Újpest would have locked up the last playoff spot. Újpest was not able to win either game during the last week as they came up short against DAB.Docler in a 2-1 loss, Dunaújváros had Marcell Lajcs making his MOL League debut in net. Lucky for UTE.
Lucky for Újpest Ferencváros would have needed to win both games to make the playoffs, against Brasov with the game tied at 2-2 Árpád Mihály scored with one second left to give Brasov the win and eliminate Fradi, with an overtime win FTC would have been in and not UTE, has FTC beat a very weak Csíkszereda side 4-2.
DAB.Docler was still holding on to hope to get the top seed incase Miskolc would lose as they beat Debrecen 2-1 in a tight low scoring game. Debrecen followed up the loss to DAB with a win over Miskolc in a game that did not count for anything with a 2-1 win.
Nové Zámky made their last trip to Transylvania, they absolutely destroyed Csíkszereda 11-2 but came up one goal short against Brasov in a 5-4 loss.
