
Péter Németh, who started the season with Újpest, put his new team up 1-0, but halfway through the first period Cody Crichton tied it up at 1-1. Then Ferenceváros scored two unanswered goals as Artyom Vaszjunyin and Gergely Géczi gave FTC a three goal lead. With fourteen seconds left in the period Erik Makláris setup Lőrinc Farkas for the goal to make it a one goal game as the teams headed into the changing rooms.
The second brought the same excitement as a Roscoe Sweeney’s unassisted goal tied the game up but FTC went up by two again as Dusan Sijka and Mikael Potila both scored. However, Újpest was able to come back to make it a one goal game thanks to Csaba Virág.
The third period was all FTC with Gábor Kiss and Sijka finding the back of the net.
This was a must win game for Brasov as they needed to stay ahead of Csíkszereda for the last playoff spot.
Zsolt Molnár opened up the scoring with an unassisted goal.
In the second Attila Pavuk tied it up equalized with Victor Lindgren giving the home team the one goal lead.
In the third period Roberto Gliga slipped the puck at Peter Sevela to make it 2-2, later on Kevin Wehrs scored a power play goal to lock up the needed three points. DAB pulled Sevela for the extra attacker but they were unable to tie it up.
In recent weeks Nové Zámky had been struggling against Újpest, in the end they would win but only by a goal.
Early in the game the home team was up by two thanks to a pair of goals by Erik Weissmann before Richárd Reiter made it a one goal game with András Horváth getting the assist.
After a scoreless second period Reiter’s second goal of the game tied it up at 2-2 but Pavel Kowalczyk scored two minutes later to secure the home win for Nové Zámky.
For both teams a win would have locked up a playoff spot for them.
Roland Hajós put Miskolc up 1-0 with Levente Zsók equalizing 33 seconds later. The two teams swapped goals in the remaining part of the first period as Vladimir Dubek scored for the visitors and Juhamatti Hietamäki scored on a two on one to make it 2-2 after one.
The score remained the same up until there was five minutes left as Hietamäki shot out the top right corner for his second of the game to send Brasov to the playoffs.
Csíkszereda needed a win to keep pace with Brasov.
After a scoreless first period Andreas Lindquist scored in the early part of the second for the lead.
In the third Gábor Kiss doubled the lead with a PPG. With just over 10 minutes to go in the game Marek Curilla ended the shutout for Michal Meravy but that was all that Csikszereda had for the game.
Dunaújváros finished the regular season out in style as they put a beat down on Csíkszereda.
Fourty seconds in Balázs Somogyi made it 1-0 with Victor Lindgren doubling the lead a little bit later. Before the period was out DAB had a 4-0 lead Dávid Szappanos made it 3-0 and Somogyi had his second of the period for the fourth goal.
The second period only brought one goal with Lindgren scoring his second of the game. In the third period Ákos Kiss made it 6-0 before Jere Ölander scored for the visitors and ended Tamás Kiss’ shutout.
Attila Imecs scored first for Brasov but Nové Zámky followed with a shorthanded goal by Martin Uhnák, before the period was out Brasov scored again to make it 2-1 on a Levente Zsók goal with Csanád Fodor getting the assist.
Just past the halfway point of the game Imecs scored his second to make it a two goal lead. Before the period was out Nové Zámky scored two goals to make it a 3-3 game with Erik Weissmann and Lubomir Hurtaj getting the puck past Rajmond Fülöp.
In the third Roberto Gliga set up Csanád Fodor for a goal in the early part of the third period but Peter Polcik scored towards the end to make it 4-4.
After a scoreless overtime Andrej Sucharda scored the winning shot in the shootout with two out of the three points staying in Nové Zámky
Miskolc took an early 2-0 lead in the first two minutes of the game as both Dezső Roczanov and Patrik Popovics put the puck in the cage.
In the second period Antti Ojanen and Balázs Láda exchanged goals to give the home team a two goal lead after sixty minutes. In the third period Gábor Kiss took control of things as he scored a natural hat trick and giving Ferencváros the one goal win.
