MOL League: Week 3 preview

Nové Zámky-Debrecen, Friday at 18:00

The newest team in the league and the defending champions will face off for the first time this season. NZ has a deep roster especially at home whereas DHK has played with max three lines. Nové Zámky could hang five on the visiting team.

DAB.Docler-UTE, Friday at 18:00

For the first time this season third place DAB.Docler will be playing fourth place UTE. Újpest will be looking to  close the gap between the two teams.

Brasov-Miskolc, Saturday at 18:00

László Kovács will be making his coaching debut with Brasov since taking over the club earlier in the week. This will be the first time this season that the two clubs will play each other as the host team looks to give Miskolc their first loss of the season.

DAB.Docler-Nové Zámky, Sunday at 17:00

At the end of last years regular season Dunaujváros and Nové Zámky finished first and second respectively, they now meet up for the first time this season as they are tied on points going into the third week of the season.

Csíkszereda-Miskolc, Sunday at 18:00

Miskolc beat up on Csíkszereda when they hosted the Transylvanian club, 7-0. HSC will be ready to get back on their home ice. Tihamér Becze who is tied with teammate Tyler Metcalfe as scoring leaders returns home for the first time since leaving HSC.

FTC-UTE, Sunday at 19:00

There are a number of storylines in this game as Ferenc Szakács and György Orbán take over for Tamás Dobos and Hakan Nygren behind the Ferencváros bench. FTC will be hoping to get back at UTE after losing in Újpest last weekend. Arnold Feil will be playing at FTC for the first time since leaving the team.

Csíkszereda-Brasov, Tuesday at 18:00

The first Transylvanian derby will be taking place in Csíkszereda where it is always hard to win for a visiting team. Brasov hope to string some wins together after a slow start. It will be interesting to see who will get the start in net for the home team, Stanislav Kozuch or Gellért Ruczuj.

Nové Zámky-FTC, Tuesday at 18:00

The two green and white clubs will be meeting up for the first time this season. Nové Zámky sometimes has a habit of letting in a number of goals when they take teams lightly, FTC and the new coaching staff could surprise the home side.

UTE-Debrecen, Tuesday at 18:00

When Újpest travelled to Debrecen at the start of the season DHK pulled off the upset and won their first MOL League game in their history. UTE hopes to return the favor for the new kids in the league.
