Another week has come and gone and nothing has changed at the top or the bottom of the standings as DAB.Docler has a seven point lead on second place and Csíkszereda is sitting at the bottom of the table.
The new and improved UTE looked to picked up their first win since the international break, which they didn’t have to wait long as they beat Csíkszereda 4-2 as Tamás Virág scored twice for UTE. Meanwhile the other Transylvanian team, Brasov traveled to Debrecen, the outcome was not surprising as Brasov played a game in which the outcome was not settled until after regulation. DHK won in a shootout thanks to Norbert Hári’s winning shot, Hári also scored the opening goal of the game. In the third game of the triple header on Friday night Ferencváros was not able to end their losing streak to Dunaújváros as four DAb goals were bookended by two FTC goals, despite being injured Robert Marton started in net for FTC.
Playing on back to back nights was struggle for Dunaújváros as Csíkeszereda kept it close but the top team in the league held on for the win. With less than five minutes left in the game the teams were deadlocked at three goals apiece when Attila Pavuk scored the game winner, Ákos Kiss finished with two goals and an assist in the win. The league leaders were not able to pick all nine points from the week, after winning the first games they came up short against Brasov at home in 5-3 loss. The win for Brasov came after back to back shootout losses on the latest road trip to Hungary as the lost to Miskolc 3-2, Roland Hajos scored both of Miskolc’s goals.
On Sunday night Nové Zámky picked up the road win at Debrecen, home team came back from being down two goals to score twice in less than a minutes at the end of the second period, Marek Uram scored the game winner in a surprising low scoring game for Nové Zámky. Ferencváros beat Újpest for the first time this season, UTE was playing without two of their top scorers as Teemu Elomo was sitting out a suspension and Jussi Tapio missed the game because of an injury. To top this all off Robert Dömötör picked up a hand injury and will likely miss three weeks.
After three games against Miskolc UTE has still only scored 1 goal as Dávid Duschek shut the door on Újpest in a 6-0 win. Ferencváros was not able to follow up their upset win against their rivals UTE with a second win in a row as the upstart Debrecen team won 4-2 with former FTC forward Norbert Dancsfalvi scoring two out of the four.
