With both teams playing two games in the season HSC Csíkszereda made their first trip to Budapest this season to take on MAC Budapest. Transylvanian club came into the game with two overtime losses with MAC having a win in their home opener and an over time loss at Debrecen. Gergely Arany made his senior career debut in net for MAC with Gellért Ruczuj in the net for the third game in a row.

Csanád Okos opened up the scoring for teh visistors when he slipped teh puck past Arany, MAC pulled even when Jeff Hayes lifted the puck over the goalie from the slot. The second period brought some excitment as Ruczuj made a number of great saves but Arany held his own as neither team scored in the middle twenty minutes. The closest either team got was when Ian McDonald fed a through pass to Michael Quinn who hit the inside of the post. The period started off with Kyle Heffernan continuing his hot streak as he took a pass from his brother Shane and put it past Arany. With just under ten minutes left in the game MAC pulled even at 2-2 when Tomas Klempa scored by throwing the puck on net from the goal line and somehow making it through Ruczuj. Minutes later Niko Saarenpaa gave MAC the lead with blistering rocket from the blue line. MAC held on to give their young keeper Gergely Arany his first win in his pro debut.

Gergely Majoross: We are OK offensivly we couldnt finish our chances we need to work onthat in partcie and in the near future, we have to keep that in mind. The guys did what we asked them to do, we just didnt finish our chances and we got the three points.
