Clarification on news with regards to a match against Spartak Moskva in February: there have been negotiations between the Hungarian federation and the KHL club but nothing has been confirmed.
Next February Budapest will be host to an Olympic qualifying group stage between the 12th and the 14th in the László Papp arena. The plans at this point are that the Hungarian national team would play a gala match against KHL side Spartak Moskva during the international break, which starts on February 6th. The negotiations are still ongoing with a KHL delegations expected to arrive in September when the talks will continue, but no contract has been signed yet.
