Miskolc took care of business on home ice to go up two games to zero, whereas Nové Zámky stole a road win in Dunaújváros to make it one apiece.
Miskolc-Brasov 4-2
Adrián Tóth helped Miskolc take the first steps towards going up by two games as he scored on his first shift of the game, minutes later Matt Boyle doubled the lead with a blast from the blue line. Miskolc dominated for most of the first period but Brasov managed to get on the scoreboard with a nice goal just as the power play ended when Csanád Virág slipped the puck past Bence Bálizs. Just like in the first period Miskolc scored in the opening minutes of the second to have a two goal lead from Roland Hajós. Boyle completed his brace with heads up play in the power play, at that time it looked as if the book was closed on Brasov. Árpád Mihály was able to breath some life back into his team with some nice stick work to cut the lead in half but that was all Brasov managed.
“I was sure we could hold on to the two goal lead, there were times we didn't follow the game plan there were times we were still concentrating on the offense instead of defending. Today we played better than yesterday, yesterday we played a bit rusty maybe because of the long rest but it looks like we shook this off and took advantage of our scoring chances.” Gergely Majoross

DAB.Docler-Nové Zámky 2-3
The first period was all Dunaújváros who was looking to go up two game to zero against the team from Slovakia. The game remained scoreless in the first period and through the second until right before the midway point when Nikandrosz Galanisz flashed some of his skills and nicely slipped the puck through the pads of Lukás Cikánek. Minutes later Martin Frolik answered to even the game up at 1-1, Marek Uram quickly scored twice the second one coming off of a rebound, to not only flip the score but to have a two goal lead. This cushion was much needed as Galanisz struck again as he fired a rocket from the left faceoff circle. As the clock wound down Don Maclean pulled Janis Kalnins for the extra attacker, DAB.Docler had scoring chances but were not able to even the score. The series now heads to Slovakia with the team locked up at 1-1.
