The Hungarian players are satisfied with the way they played despite the lose. Now everything rests on the game between France and Belarus on Tuesday.
István Sofron: We are really disappointed about the game it would have been nice to win. We played great in the first period, but in the second we threw the puck away sometimes. In The third period we picked it up again but we ran out of gas. Miklós Rajna played great and really kept us in the game. I didn’t think we would improve this much during the tournament. The fans were great here and we could not thank them enough.
Kevin Wehrs: They took the game from us in the second period, we had the first they had the second and the third period we very balanced and they had it. Now we have to sit and wait to see what happened, which is not the best thing to happen.
Miklós Rajna: We tried to empty the tank and leave everything on the ice, we are dispositioned but this was a very good team and everyone can be satisfied with how they played. As the games went on we were able to pick up the pace of this tournament and this level. If we don’t stay in we can still be happy with the way we played.
Márton Vas: We played a great game, of course we made some mistakes but we worked hard and stayed in the game to give ourselves a chance. We just didn't get the bounces but we played great and we stuck to the game plan. It was great to work these guys and this really put a period to the end of my career.
Rich Chernomaz. I would like to congratulate Germany on the success so far. It was an intense game that was a very hard fought game on both sides. We got off to the start that we wanted but they capitalized on our mistakes to tie the game up. They stepped their game up in the second period and we played lost out there.
Marco Sturm: We knew that this was going to be hard fought game and that's what it was we were on our heels, we had a tough game yesterday so we knew we had to fight. They had a good goalie who played well for them. This was an important win for us and we know we have to work hard for every game.
