
Ferencváros sits two points out of the playoffs behind their crosstown rivals Újpest, with just five games left in the season. Going into this past week Fradi was six points out and two losses would have all but put a nail in the coffin for the season. After a close one goal loss to the league leaders FTC picked up six points in an upset win against Nové Zámky and UTE. One of the biggest reason was Ákos Kiss who had three goals and four assist in the three games and that is why he is this weeks Play of the week
Ákos started his playing career in Dunaújváros where he was a productive scoring forward, winning two MOL League titles as well as playing in the U18 and U20 world championships for Hungary.
Ákos also tried his hand at playing junior hockey in the NAHL with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs but came back before the season was out, he would eventually debut for the Hungarian national team but has yet to make a final world championship roster. This season after having 19 points in 20 games he left Dunaújváros and signed with Budapest side Ferencváros where he has 11 points after 18 games.
