In the past week Ferencváros beat both Nové Zámky 5-4 and Miskolc 2-0 to pick up six very valuable points. They were the only team to go undefeated this past week and now sit one point out of the last playoff spot and their rivale UTE. One of the main reason for the outstanding performance was Gábor Kiss who had two goals and two assists, and is this weeks MOL League player of the week.

Except for one season spent in Újpest, you have been a Ferencváros player for a long time, what changes have you experienced during your time with the club?

This where I started to play hockey and I have always loved playing for Fradi. A lot of players have come and gone and now only Krisztián Budai and myself are the last two players left of the ones that grew up with the club. There are a number of things that have changed, every year the environment that we are practicing is improving, however a home rink is still missing where we would not have to schedule around other teams

What kind of influence did the early season coaching change of on the team? What was the biggest changes that happened under the new coaching staff?

We are playing differently, the team is refreshed and opening its wings, but we still have a lot of work to do to bring a high level of hockey game in and game out.

In the last two matches Ferencváros was able to knock off two of the top teams in the league, you played a significant part in the two wins, will the club be able to keep up this form? What will the team need to do to make the playoffs?

We proved that we are not a team that can be taken lightly because we are capable of beating anyone in the MOL League.

What will the team need to do to make the playoffs?

We will need to work hard for the rest of the season and also play disciplined hockey.

What are the goals of the club’s management and coaching staff for the rest of the season?

We would like to make the playoffs and to advance as far as possible in the playoffs
