With the financial situation in Dunaújváros national team player Tamás Pozsgai has decided that a move to MAC Budapest would be the best for his career and for his family as well.

Pozsgai played four seasons in the MOL League for his hometown club of DAB.Docler before moving on to the EBEL side in Fehérvár. During this time he became a solid presence on the blueline for the Hungarian national team and playing in five world championships.

With Pozsgai signing with MAC this will be his third team in three years but he had to see what was the best option for him. “I had a number of offers coming in as the league expansion started to become clearer, the decision was not easy and I had to take a number of things into consideration. I had to think of what about be best for me and my expanding family”

Since the it was announced that MAC would be playing in the MOL League in the upcoming season there has been much excitement as the club tries to fuse the young players together with the veteran players with national team experience. “I really liked the plans that the club management had mentioned to me as well as the surroundings. It was clear that the club is trying to sign as many national team players as they can and filling out the rest of the roster with young players from the MAC academy and with import players. I think it's safe to say that it is a club that can’t be taken lightly”

Pozsgai is the seventh player from this past world championships roster that has found a new home in the offseason.
