The team hit the ice from 11:00 to 11:30, everyone was on the ice except for Frank Banham. The team went through a couple of drills with the session finishing up with some work on the power play.
Based on the idea of “if it ain’t broken why fix it” head coach Rich Chernomaz is sticking with the same lineup that hit the ice against Belarus for Monday night’s matchup against Germany. The three scratched players will be Zoltán Hetényi, Frank Banham and Zsombor Garát. With this Frank Banham has finished up his playing career and will be behind the bench with the coaching staff.

István Sofron: I have played with or against half the German national team, Sinan Akdag was my teammate for a year. Christian Ehrhoff comes from Krefeld so during the summers he would train with us, he is a real NHL star. The team is filled with great players, and the top players from the DEL. They beat the U.S. so that shows how good of a team they are.
We needed a couple of games for the team to really come together, the staff was rotating the lines. We have to trust ourselves, if we win we stay in the A-Pool, simple as that. If we concentrate and play within our system we can do something special.
