Realistic Difference

After the 4-0 win the players all felt great and agreed that they were able to stick to the tactics from start to finnish.

István Terbócs:I was playing very tense up until the goal, after the I was playing a lot more free, I was surprised but also very happy that I scored my first goal so early. I hope to score many goals like this in the years to come.

Ádám Vay: I was very excited to be playing with my former heroes, it was a real honor to play with them. I felt some pressure in my first senior national game, you prepare differently than for a regular game. Luckily I felt great and I was concentrating at 100%.

Kalvin Sagert: I was exciting I have been playing here for two years, it's always exciting to pull on a nation's jersey and now I’m a citizen. I feel like this is home for me and this was exciting tonight and the team played very well.
Márton Vas: We were able to keep the pace from start to finish and we were able to stay within the system as well. We need to keep playing this aggressive style and shut them down as they come into our end.

Zsombor Garát: I am very happy that I was able to debut in a game like this. I think we played great, the team played with confidence and this was great for us four new guys to get the support from the team.

István Sofron: Yes it was a different game playing against some club teammates we talked about this towards the end of the season. It was great to see them and play against them. They did play a bit slow in the first period as we came on firing on all cylinders, of course we made some mistakes but it felt great that our legs were spinning the way they have after this past week. We have been able to close the gap between us and them.

Austrian coach Dieter Kalt: It was good, we were expecting to be ready for the game but I guess we were not. We were not ready for the physical game, we had trouble bring the puck out and the speed was a problem. We started to play better as the game went on and the third period was a real battle.

Rich Chernomaz: We had a good start and obviously we put pressure on Austria in the first period but we started to look a bit slower and they had some good scoring chances. We competed hard and we were able to give us a chance to win. For the most part we played great, some of the younger players showed that they are hungry, this was a small step in the process.
