On Saturday night Hungary made their debut in the Champions Hockey League when Balázs Sebők and KalPa stepped on the ice.
KalPa took on Swedish club AIK in their opening game of the 2016 CHL debut with Sebők being a on the second line and being on the KalPa goal in the 2-1 loss.
“We are at the start of the season so we are not in midseason form yet but I think we are moving in the right direction. We have been working hard during the week, we were physically or mentally fresh.” said Sebők after the game. “Of course we were disappointed that we didn’t win, we had more scoring chances we just didn’t take advantage of them. Hopefully this will be different next week.”
Sebők was not credited with an assist on the KalPa goal even though he was on the ice. “I for checked behind the goal from which we managed to force a turnover and get the puck there was a scramble in front of the net from which we came out on top.”
