Special teams will be key

It was all business on the off day for the Hungarian national team during their morning practice practice session.

All hands were on deck for the Saturday morning practice except for Bence Szirányi who picked up a knee injury during the final shift of the game against Estonia, the defenceman will miss the game against Poland and will have to rest his knee for the next four weeks.

Before the practice the national team had their official team photo. For most of the on ice session the team was working on their power play, which has been working well the last two games.

Csaba Kovács: We are mentally where we should be right now, both teams won their games against their other two opponents: The Polish team is pretty good as we can remember from last April from that tight game. We will have to play disciplined and with great defending and we can not commit any penalties.

Rich Chernomaz: Systematically we were not really doing anything we just wanted them to get their legs back and we worked on the power play and on the 5 on 3 incase we get a chance in the game. I don't think it will be a wide open game it, but it will come down defence and goaltending like it does in the playoffs. Teams are usually solid on the 5 on 5 and the special teams usual decides the game.
