The Hungarian national team had their last practice before leaving for the world championships on Thursday morning.
Wednesday morning the boys hit the ice at 10:00 for a 100 minute ice session. After lunch the team was given the rest of the day off to take of anything that they might need to before Thursday’s departure.
Gergely Majoross: We don’t have generations anymore it’s just new names making the roster. The motivation and the will to work hard is there in this team as in the ones in the past. This is the base for the quality of work that we do. We needed some time for the guys to lose their bad habits and replace that with what we want from the team. When this happens, that's when we can start to build out team, this happened the last two weeks of camp and we saw the results against Kazakhstan and Russia.
I have been surprised at how fast everyone has picked up everything and also the pace they are doing it at. The only time I felt we were on a different level than the teams that we played was during the first period against Russia, but we worked on this during the intermission. If we look at this I think we have hope. I think we can be satisfied with what we did during the training camp.
