Hungary clinches tournament against the hosts.

After two seemingly easy wins the Hungarian national team finally had a real challenge from the host team, Poland. Just to stick with what has been working Cherno mixed it up again. Miklós Rajna was back between the pipes with the injured Bence Bálizs go back home with Márton Vas and Csaba Kovács who were the ones that were rotated out of the lineup this time around. Cherno decided to keep together the András Benk, Ladislav Sikorcin, István Bartalis line that has been on fire the past two games. The first period started off as was expected with the two teams being even up until the 13:11 mark when Sofron set up Balázs Ladányi for the power play goal.

The scored stayed the same until 12:13 of the second period when the host team evened it up by put the puck behind Rajna on a goal by Marcin Kolusz (a: Dronia and Zapala).
The match stayed relatively even between the hosts and the Ice Huns until 10:13 of the third period. Sikorcin capitalized on a penalty committed by Poland with scoring the second power play goal of the game being set up by Viktor Tokaji and Balázs Gőz. This was enough for a well deserved third victory to win the tournament out right. István Bartalis ended up being the leading scorer with two goals and 4 assists in 3 games, Miklós Rajna let in one goal in two matches All in all it seems the tournament was a success with Cherno finding out what are the strengths of this team and what they could improve upon.

Check back in the near future not only for news about the national team but other Hungarian hockey news as well
