Training Camp Roster announced

A total of 78 Hungarian hockey players are expected to invade the Tüskecsarnok on April 5th when the national team opens its training camp for the upcoming World Championships.

Hungarian National team head coach Rich Chernomaz and hi staff has named their training camp roster that has 9 goalies, 26 defenseman and 43 forwards with every Hungarian club represented. There are potential 20 players that could be making their senior national team debut during any of the five international friendly matches. There are a number of young players in the squad as well with 14 of this years U20 world championship roster also making it.

The camp will open on April 5th with the roster being split into 4 teams. Scrimmages will be played throughout the week with a possible cut at the weekend. However, there are still a couple of players on the injured list and others competing abroad so the actual number of players present may vary.

The long series of exhibition games at the Tüskecsarnok, called Hokimaraton, will start on April 15th against Austria, then the Hungarian national team will play Slovenia on the 20th, Kazakhstan on the 29th and Russia's B team on the 30th. The bonus to this series will be tha game between Kazakhstan and the Russia's B team.

Team Hungary will travel to St. Petersburg on May 5th.
