Based on all of the applications the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation has awarded the EuroAszfalt-CCM Hungarian Cup Final 4 to the Tüskecsarnok in Budapest.
The decision was both a financial and hockey decision by the federation to not only have the finals in the capital but also in the Tüskecsarnok. With this MAC Budapest is the host club and thus they are in the Final 4 as the host team.
DVTK Jegesmedvék is in as one of the two finalist of the MOL League, if MAC would lose to Fehérvár then they would be teams two and three with the last spot going to the winner of the qualification group. If the MOL League finals are DVTK and MAC then the top two teams from the qualification would be through to the Final 4.
