On Friday the U15 team lost twice to the Italians, once in the group stage and once in the semifinals, on Saturday they were playing for the bronze medal at the tournament in Kaposvár, the gold medal match was Slovenia against Italy.
In the group stage Hungary lost to Austria in a shootout, grab the bronze from the neighbors was not out of the question. The first time around Lajos Gönczi was in the net this time Gergely Farkas got the starting nod. The game was scoreless until the midway point when Austria struck first in the 31st minute, after the goal Oliver Galló replaced Farkas in the net. Less than a minute later Austria doubled their lead which lead to Farkas going back in net. The Austrians scored three more times before the period was over and took a 5-0 lead into the last period. Austria made it 6-0 in the opening minutes, Hungary finally got on the scoreboard in the 57th minute on a goal from Bence Dézsi.
In the gold medal game Slovenia beat up on Italy 8-1.
