U16: A 23 man roster is going to Austria

The U16 team has announced their travel team for the upcoming tournament in Austria, Glen Williamson named Zoltán Szilassy as the head coach for the team.

“The results are not as important at this age group compared to the U18 and U20 where they are competing at the world championships, this is just a stop on the road. For this age group this is the first tournament that they are playing this year, the second one will in be in December in Canada, which will be important because the experience that the team will have.” said Szilassy.

As athletes we always want to win but right now it's all about learning, everyone will be getting more ice time, we will be playing with four lines with everyone getting playing time in every situation., we are interested in seeing how they react in every situation.”

“Two seasons ago I had already worked with this age group, that was when the 98-99 boys were playing in the U16 and I know a couple of the guys from the 2000 age group. Last season I worked with this age group as well for a big, but because of the MOL League playoffs I was not able to go to the tournament in Kaposvár. I really like how that in this youth system that Glen has put together we are able to work with different age groups every season.”

Three goalies, eight defencmen and 12 forwards made the final roster.
